This shield volcano is broad and almost completely flat. A system of long troughs formed around it only “recently”. You can walk for weeks in the shadows of the walls at the bottom of its straight, barely winding canyons. If you enter a canyon with an unstable floor, the hollow surface can easily collapse beneath you.
