Two of our members, Kubovics Imre and Bérczi Szaniszló, personally brought the NASA set from Houston in March 1994.
Scientific results and significant events
- At the vertebrate palaeontology symposium held as part of the Hungarian Science Festival events of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Kordos László presented the ape footprints, new to science, discovered at Alsótelekes (northern Hungary), which date from 8 million years ago, and on that basis proposed the introduction of the new ichnotaxon (order) Primatesipedida.
Relations with other organisations
- Kordos László performed the duties of chair of the History of Science Section of the Hungarian Geological Society, and was elected to the Executive Committee of the INQUA Hungarian National Committee, supervised by Section X of the Academy.
