Pixel-science colour exercise

Zoom with the mouse wheel inside the image or use the buttons. Drag the enlarged image with the hand cursor; swipe to move on a touchscreen.
At Alpha Centauri, four light-years away, the Solar System’s planets are barely visible. Even at maximum zoom, your smartphone shows each as a single pixel. Which is Mars? Label the pixels representing the planets, moons and Sun. Write the Mars symbol in the square of the appropriate colour, then try identifying the others.
An artist friend asks you to buy paint for a Martian landscape, but the colour samples have become mixed with those for paintings of Earth and the Moon. Draw the appropriate world’s symbol above each colour.
You are home from a class trip to the Jezero delta, but you left your phone on Mars with all your pictures. Ask your classmate, whose father came from Tau Ceti, to upload their photos. Their camera records different colours because people from Tau Ceti see colours differently. Which colours do you remember from the trip? Mark them with the Mars symbol.
