This mosaic, combining colour and black-and-white images, shows bedrock onto which the wind has carried various sediments. A few sharp-edged ventifacts are also visible, sculpted into unusual forms by persistent winds. How can so many interesting stones lie side by side? Only because there are no people on Mars to collect them and take them home. Would you pick up some of these stones? Which caught your eye? Write a letter beside each one you choose.
