Publication of the first twelve volumes of the Concise Atlas of the Solar System was supported by grants awarded by the Hungarian Space Office between 2001 and 2006. The thirteenth volume was published exclusively online. The series later gave rise to the Encyclopedia of Planetary Landforms, a three-volume reference work prepared between 2012 and 2015.
