Hunveyor Technology

The Hunveyor Space Probe
• Frame, mechanics
The frame uses the construction of well known Surveyors, which successfully landed on the Moon in the l966-1968 years five times. It has a truncated tetrahedral pyramid skeleton- Legs stretch out from this truncated pyramid vortices and stand on discs. We made the skeletal framework from red-copper tubes with 12 millimeters in diameter. We used copper tubes in order to be able to attach frame-elements by soldering.

Camera
In the first level we used televison camera with mirror like as we learned in Surveyors, but in the second level we plan to replace it by CCD receptors. In the Surveyor-like system a mirror is rotated above the fixed TV camera and mirror rotation projects the imeges in defferent directions towrd the optical system. Mirror motion can be directed by even on the zero level ROBOT EVOLUTION system with two motors.

Robotic Arms
For the first time Surveyor 3 took such telescopic arm to carry out measurements on the surface soil. We plan using such arm on Hunveyor too. First because we may direct it by the ROBOT EVOLUTION motors on zero level construction and we can develop it with different mechanical operations on first and second level construction.

• The Rover
ROVER MOVES, MAKES STEREO PICTURES ABOUT ROCKS
Encouraged by the success of Pathfinder a group of colleagues and students made plans and builds now a rover, which moves to and fro between rock types and makes stereo pairs of photos to measure distances. This experiment is described in another paper, here mentioned because it forms part of the operations with Hunveyor on internet. Another group developed 3D camera using red and green filters, and mirror duplicated color pictures. The wireless communication was our next step in communivation developments of Hunveyor. First we built an IR communication. The distance between Hunveyor lander and the main server was maximum 10-15 meter. The planned rover moves in the vicinity of Hunveyor, but not a longer distance. (Next generation will be the radio communication.)
